Cleaning

• Hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap after each use.
• Clean food, grease, and debris from all surfaces, including around the hinge and locking mechanism.
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Dry completely before folding and storing.

Do not

• Leave utensils soaking in water.
• Store while wet or damp.
• Use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or chlorine-based cleaners.
• Let food or debris build up in the pivot and locking mechanism.

Lock and pivot

• Periodically inspect the pivot and lock for smooth operation.
• If needed, apply a very small amount of food-safe lubricant to the pivot. Wipe away any excess before use.

Knife care

• Hand wash and dry the knife immediately after use.
• Avoid cutting on glass, stone, ceramic, or other hard surfaces that dull the blade.
• Sharpen as needed with an appropriate knife sharpener.

Storage

• Make sure each utensil is completely clean and dry before folding.
• Store in a clean, dry location.

Safety

• Always confirm the utensil is fully opened and securely locked before use.
• Keep fingers clear of the folding and locking mechanism when opening or closing.
