Spiceology Korean BBQ All-Purpose Rub is a sweet and smoky korean bbq seasoning that hits savory, sweet, and salty all in one shake.

How to run it

From tin to bark.

  1. 01

Pat the meat dry, or hit it with a thin binder so the rub grabs.

  2. 02

Shake it on heavy. Pat it in, don't wipe it around.

  3. 03

Let it sweat 20 to 30 minutes until it goes tacky.

  4. 04

Onto the heat. Low and slow builds the bark, don't rush it.

Spiceology Korean BBQ All-Purpose Rub is a sweet and smoky korean bbq seasoning that hits savory, sweet, and salty all in one shake. It clings tight to the meat and builds a deep, umami-loaded bark.

Spiceology builds it on Korean chile flakes, toasted sesame, maple sugar, and tamari soy. The maple sugar brings the sweet, the tamari and sesame carry the umami, and the Korean chile flakes lay in a low, even warmth that never runs into real heat. It reads like a bulgogi marinade you can shake out of a jar.

Coat beef short ribs, pork, or chicken before they hit the grate and let it caramelize over the fire. It does not stop at the grill either. Dust it into a stir fry, work it into fried rice, or use it to season a batch of homemade jerky. Contains soy.

  • Beef short ribs and bulgogi
  • Pork chops and grilled chicken
  • Stir fry and fried rice
  • Homemade beef jerky
